What is the minimum age for renting an Avis vehicle?

You will need to:
  • Be aged 21 or over at the date of rental
  • Have a full, valid driving licence for at least a year
  • Have a valid payment card for Pay Now rates




 

Can I have an additional driver?

  • The rental vehicle is normally only insured for the person who makes the rental.
  • If others plan to drive the car, they must be added to the Rental Agreement when the car is collected.
  • Additional drivers are subject to the same conditions regarding age, credit card and driving license as the renter.
  • There will be no extra charge for additional driver.





 

What is Vehicle Damage Cover?

  • Vehicle Damage Cover covers you for the cost of repairs to the Avis vehicle in the event of damage (except by attempted theft).
  • The Renter is liable for the first QRS 1000 of Claims resulting from any accident caused by him in which the vehicles is involved.

Can I purchase fuel in advance?

  • AVIS Qatar Rents out vehicles with a full tank of fuel.
  • The Vehicles is to be either returned with the tank full of Petrol or you will be charge for the amount of Petrol consumed






 

How many passengers are allowed to travel in the vehicle?

  • The maximum number of passengers allowed to travel within each vehicle is indicated in the Fleet details page on the website.
  • In the interest of safety this number must not be exceeded, and also your insurance coverage will be invalidated.





 

What is an "on request" booking?

  • An "On Request" booking occurs when we need to check the availability of your requested vehicle (or accessories) with the Avis rental location before confirming your request.
  • For these types of bookings please allow up to 72 hours (3 working days) for us to confirm your request by email or Fax.






What is Public Liability/Property Damage coverage (PLPD)?

  • It is equivalent to Third Party Cover is called PLPD.
  • And it is covered in CDW, which is included in the rates.
